* When you’re the ‘Pineut’ in the Netherlands, you’ve found yourself in a bit of a pickle. Well, basically, you’re screwed and on your own for this one. ‘Neut’ means so much as a good oldfashioned drink in Dutch. We figured those definitions were the perfect combination to name our DIY liqueurs after.
A good story
The history of liqueur goes back ages. In the seventeenth and eighteenth century, Dutch warehouses were packed with exotic herbs and spices from all corners of the world. The Dutch were keen to experiment with them, also combined with alcohol. That way, many liqueurs with a wide variety of flavours emerged and there was a delicious ‘neut’ for each occasion.
This old tradition was the inspiration for a new ‘neut’. Pineut is a liqueur with a back story which you can enjoy effortlessly.
