Snippers Snippers Originals Cognac

Product description

The Originals: Make Your Own Cognac

Transform your clear spirit into Cognac with this special bottle. The oak chips inside come from shredded French Cognac barrels that have been used for decades to make Cognac. Although the chips are small, they still carry a lot of Cognac flavor. This flavor is released after adding a clear spirit, as if your drink were aging in a Cognac barrel.

How to make it?

  1. Add the Spirit Start by adding a clear spirit such as vodka or dry gin. Ensure the spirit contains at least 30% alcohol. Do not add Cognac, as it will have little effect. Note the bottling date and the type of spirit used on the label. If possible, use leftover spirits you have at home.

  2. The Aging Process After filling your bottle, let it age in a cool, dark place. The oak chips will gradually release their Cognac flavor and warm color. Feel free to taste occasionally to see how the flavors develop. This process takes about eight weeks, but you can also see what happens if you let it age longer.

  3. Serve Your Own Cognac After eight weeks, it’s time to serve your own Cognac. Strain the liquid or carefully pour it off before drinking. Make sure no oak chips end up in your glass. Also, never eat the oak chips.

  4. Cheers! Enjoy, and drink responsibly!
