Snippers Snippers Originals | Gin 350ml
The Originals: Make Your Own Barrel-Aged Gin
Create your own barrel-aged gin with these oak chips. Add your gin to the bottle with the chips and let them impart their rich flavor and beautiful color, just like in traditional wooden barrel aging. Enjoy the luxury experience of barrel-aged gin right from your own home!
How to make it?
- Add the alcohol
Start by adding your favorite gin. Ensure that the gin contains at least 30% alcohol. Note the bottling date and the type of gin you used on the label. We recommend using your favorite gin for this experiment; you’ll be amazed at the difference in flavor.
- The aging process
After filling your bottle, let it age in a cool, dark place. The oak chips will slowly release their subtle flavor and amber color. Taste periodically to experience how the flavors develop. This process takes about eight weeks, but you can also discover what happens if you let it age longer.
- Serve your own gin
After eight weeks, it's time to serve your own drink. Strain the liquid or carefully pour it off before drinking. Make sure no oak chips end up in your glass. Also, never eat the oak chips.
- Cheers!
Enjoy the experiment in moderation and responsibly.
