Impactpartner: Yespers. Van peer tot Watertwist

At Pineut, we believe in working with partners who not only deliver quality ingredients but also actively contribute to a better world. One such impact partner is Yespers. Together we create products that are not only delicious and beautiful but also responsible and sustainable. A perfect example is our Watertwist: a refreshing thirst-quencher made with, among other things, dried pears from Zeeland. But how does a pear actually end up in your carafe?

Organic pears from Zeeland

The journey of our pears begins on Dutch soil. In Zeeland, organic pears full of flavour are grown. These pears aren’t simply harvested and shipped – they become part of a larger circular process at Yespers’ Total Value Factory. This production facility is all about maximising the use of raw materials – with zero waste!

From fresh fruit to dried slices

At the Total Value Factory, the pears are carefully processed. First, they’re cut into equal slices using an industrial cutting machine. Next, the slices are neatly arranged on drying trays.
The trays then go into the drying oven, where the pears are gently dried for several hours at a controlled temperature. The result? Light, flavourful pear slices that not only retain their natural aroma but also gain a crunchy texture and long shelf life. Perfect for our Watertwist, where they slowly release their flavour into the water and give your drink that little something extra.

Zero waste in practice

What makes this process truly special is that nothing goes to waste. During slicing and processing, pear juice is naturally released. Instead of discarding it, the juice is collected and reused in other processes within the factory.
