How to make a chai latte?

The method is wonderfully simple. Just keep in mind that the chai latte mix needs to steep in the milk for at least 6 hours.

Step 1: Measure the milk

Measure 900 ml of milk using a measuring jug.

Step 2: Add the chai latte mix

Pour the milk into a jug and add the Pineut chai latte mix. Stir well.

Step 3: Let the chai latte steep

Pop the jug in the fridge for at least 6 hours, so the herbs and spices can infuse the milk with all their flavour.

Tip: Prepare the chai latte the evening before. That way, all you need to do the next day is warm it up.

Step 4: Warm the chai latte

Pour the chai latte into a small saucepan and heat for 10 to 15 minutes over a low heat. Don't let it boil — this keeps the flavour smooth and creamy.

Step 5: Pour into a mug

Pour the warm chai latte into your favourite mug and enjoy!

Serving tips

Make your chai latte extra creamy with a layer of frothed milk. A pinch of cinnamon over the foam adds a lovely spiced finishing touch.

Prefer an iced chai latte? Leave the prepared drink to cool in the fridge for about 2 hours.
