How do you make it?

  1. Remove the lemon slices from the jar and place them in hot water.
  2. Preheat the oven to 160°C (electric) or 145°C (fan).
  3. Empty the contents of the jar into a bowl and add eggs, melted butter and a pinch of salt. Mix until you have a smooth batter.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased baking tin and bake for 50–65 minutes.
  5. Decorate the cake with the lemon slices.

Ingredients

Self-raising flour (WHEAT flour, baking powder (raising agents E450, E500), WHEAT starch, stabiliser (calcium carbonate)), cane sugar, poppy seeds (4%), dried lemon (3%)

3 eggs, 160 grams melted butter, pinch of salt

Serving suggestion

Make a glaze by mixing 100 g of icing sugar with 1 tablespoon of the lemon water for an extra festive touch.
